Cascinando is the travelling food and wine event in Malegno (Province of Brescia), in Valle Camonica. The format is that of a gastronomic walk: starting from Piazza Zaccaria Casari, you follow a route through the external paths of the village and the characteristic bait (mountain huts) of the hamlets, with about ten stops to pause and taste.
Flavours of Valle Camonica
Each stop offers a local traditional specialty: casoncelli (stuffed pasta), polenta with mushrooms, cheeses, bread, strinù (Brescia-style sausage cooked over embers), and to finish, the unique artichoke liqueur from Malegno, created through collaboration between the Municipality and the university. A journey of taste that tells the gastronomic identity of the valley, step by step.
Between Nature and Community
Cascinando is organised by the Associazione E20 Malegno with the patronage of the Municipality. More than just a 'sagra' (local festival), it's an experience that combines the conviviality of the table with the beauty of the Camonica landscape: the dirt paths, the woods, and the views of the hamlets form the backdrop to a day of celebration that involves the entire community and attracts visitors from all over Valle Camonica.
Cascinando — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Cascinando will be held on Sunday, June 14, starting from Piazza Zaccaria Casari. The route, approximately ten stops long, winds through the external paths of Malegno and the 'bait' of the hamlets, offering traditional specialties: casoncelli, polenta with mushrooms, cheeses, bread, strinù, and the Malegno artichoke liqueur. Hours from 10 AM to 8 PM.

The gastronomic walk unfolds along an itinerary between the center and the hamlets of Malegno, with about ten stops. At each stop, a specialty of the Camun tradition:

How to get there
Malegno is located in the middle Valle Camonica, reachable by car via the SS42 and by train on the Brescia–Edolo line. The meeting point is in Piazza Zaccaria Casari.

The route takes place on dirt paths, not suitable for strollers. Comfortable footwear recommended. Registration required a few days in advance.
