Cascinando is the itinerant food and wine event of Malegno (Province of Brescia), in Valle Camonica. The format is that of a gastronomic walk: it starts from Piazza Zaccaria Casari and follows a route through the external paths of the town and the characteristic bait (mountain huts) of the hamlets, with about ten stops to taste.
Flavors of Valle Camonica
Each stop offers a specialty of local tradition: casoncelli, polenta with mushrooms, cheeses, bread, strinù (Brescia-style sausage grilled over embers), and to finish, the particular artichoke liqueur from Malegno, born from a collaboration between the Municipality and the academic world. A journey of taste that tells the gastronomic identity of the valley, step by step.
Between Nature and Community
Cascinando is organized by the Associazione E20 Malegno with the patronage of the Municipality. More than just a festival, it is an experience that combines the conviviality of the table with the beauty of the Camonica landscape: the dirt paths, the woods, and the views of the hamlets provide the backdrop for a day of celebration that involves the entire community and attracts visitors from all over Valle Camonica.
Cascinando — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Cascinando will be held on Sunday, June 14, starting from Piazza Zaccaria Casari. The route, with about ten stops, winds through the external paths of Malegno and the 'bait' of the hamlets, offering traditional specialties: casoncelli, polenta with mushrooms, cheeses, bread, strinù, and the artichoke liqueur of Malegno. Hours from 10 AM to 8 PM.

The gastronomic walk unfolds along an itinerary between the center and the hamlets of Malegno, with about ten stops. At each stop, a specialty of the Camun tradition:
- Casoncelli
- Polenta and mushrooms
- Local cheeses
- Bread and strinù
- Artichoke liqueur from Malegno (to conclude the route)
Departure from Piazza Zaccaria Casari; return to the square at the end of the route. Hours 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

How to get there
Malegno is located in the middle Valle Camonica, reachable by car along the SS42 and by train on the Brescia–Edolo line. The meeting point is in Piazza Zaccaria Casari.

Tips
The route takes place on dirt paths, not suitable for strollers. Comfortable footwear recommended. Registration required a few days in advance.
