The Carnival of Brisighella with unusual floats, drums, and knights of the Lamone Valley
The Carnival under the 3 Hills is the Carnival celebration of the Municipality of Brisighella, in the Province of Ravenna, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. The event takes its name from the three famous hills that overlook the village โ the Rocca Manfrediana, the Clock Tower, and the Sanctuary of Monticino โ and transforms the medieval alleys into an open-air stage of colors, music, and masks for an afternoon.
The heart of the event is the parade of "unusual floats", allegorical vehicles built and animated by local associations and school groups from Brisighella and Fognano, particularly the Olindo Pazzi schools. The procession starts from Via Fossa and crosses the historic center with several complete laps, involving mothers, children, and residents in a great village game.
The parade concludes in front of the Town Hall, in Piazza Marconi, where the party continues with gadget giveaways, music, and a DJ set, walk-around aperitifs, street food, and a beer stand managed by Luppoli. A convivial offering that invites you to stroll through the village streets with drinks and snacks, extending the carnival atmosphere until late afternoon.
Set in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, awarded the Orange Flag by the Touring Club, the Carnival under the 3 Hills offers a unique setting: the charming Via degli Asini, the staircases carved into the gypsum, and the historic center's buildings provide the backdrop for an authentic Romagna celebration. It's the ideal opportunity to discover Brisighella, land of "Brisighello" DOP extra virgin olive oil and traditional cuisine of the Lamone Valley, during the Carnival period.
