The premier used car exhibition in Southern Italy, held in San Michele Salentino
The Car Fair is the annual event that revs up the engines in San Michele Salentino, a small town in the province of Brindisi, Puglia. Regarded as the largest used car exhibition in Southern Italy, the event turns the Borgo Ajeni area, located in the town's industrial zone, into an open-air showcase spanning approximately 23,000 square meters, featuring over 1,000 multi-brand vehicles.
The fair was born from the initiative of the GestAuto Group, a consortium bringing together six local dealerships: Apruzzi Auto, Auto 2C, Auto A., Auto Pro, Balsamo Auto, and Prete Auto. The event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of San Michele Salentino and the Pro Loco. The exhibition is categorized by vehicle type and price range, guiding visitors through luxury cars, SUVs, sports cars, city cars, and versatile models, all priced to suit every need.
The Car Fair is much more than an automotive market; it is an event designed for enthusiasts and families alike. The calendar is enriched each year with side events, featuring music and DJ sets by Ciccio Riccio, as well as entertainment for younger visitors. There is also a strong focus on local gastronomy: past editions have offered tastings of traditional products such as lu gnummariedd, a specialty promoted by the San Michele Salentino Butchers' Association, and the almond-stuffed fig, creating a perfect blend of motors, flavors, and Salento traditions.
With ten consecutive days of operation and free admission, the Car Fair has become a staple of the Puglian spring calendar, attracting visitors from across the province of Brindisi and neighboring areas. It is an event that seamlessly merges commercial interests with a festive atmosphere, making San Michele Salentino the used car capital of Southern Italy for a few days each year.
The 2026 Car Fair celebrated the milestone of its tenth edition with ten days of opening, from May 29 to June 7, in the Borgo Ajeni area of San Michele Salentino. The inauguration, featuring an open party, was held on Friday, May 29. The format that made the event famous was confirmed: over 1,000 multi-brand vehicles spread across 23,000 square meters, with the involvement of the six dealerships of the GestAuto Group.
For this edition as well, the program combined the exhibition with a rich calendar of side events, featuring music and DJ sets by Ciccio Riccio and events designed for families and young people. The opening hours, every day including holidays, were 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 8:30 PM, with free admission.
