In the heart of the Roero, a land of hills, vineyards, and orchards in the Province of Cuneo, the Canale Peach Festival has been the most anticipated summer event for decades. Established in the 1940s to promote the peach, the fruit that made this corner of Piedmont famous, the festival is now one of the longest-running and most beloved events in the entire region.

A week of celebration for the entire Roero

For over a week, the center of Canale transforms into a large open-air stage. Piazza Italia hosts concerts, shows, and entertainment evenings, while the gardens of Piazza Castello welcome the food and wine area, the true evening meeting point of the festival. The traditional funfair is set up in Piazza Trento e Trieste, while the town streets are filled with markets, stalls, and family-oriented activities.

Music, cabaret, and tradition

The program alternates between big names in Italian music, tribute acts, ballroom dancing, DJ sets, and comedy shows, all with free admission. Alongside the evening events, the Festival maintains its link to the rural roots of the area through the celebration of the peach, marching bands, and community moments like the historic 'Serata Leva', which kicks off the festivities every year.

The gastronomic heart of the event is the Ostu der Masche, set up in the gardens of Piazza Castello: here you can taste traditional Piedmontese dishes and numerous peach-based specialties, from savory to sweet.
