Free summer concerts in Piazza Tschurtschenthaler, Bruneck
Bruneck LIVE is the summer concert series that enlivens the evenings in the historic center of Bruneck, the main town of the Puster Valley, in the province of Bolzano, in the heart of South Tyrol. From July to August, almost every Wednesday and Friday evening, the new Piazza Paul Tschurtschenthaler transforms into an open-air stage: live music, crowds in the square, and a relaxed, festive atmosphere just a stone's throw from the main street.
The format alternates between different genres and audiences. Evenings with live bands feature rock, pop, and tribute acts, often accompanied by a DJ set that keeps the party going until late. Other evenings are dedicated to traditional South Tyrolean brass bands, with local ensembles bringing horns, marches, and popular Tyrolean tunes to the square. It is the best way to discover the vibrant local musical culture, where every village has its own band.
The series is also a highlight of local life: between concerts, there is space for community initiatives, such as the traditional presentation of the HC Falkensteiner Pustertal ice hockey team, which draws many fans from the valley. Bars, ice cream parlors, and local venues provide the backdrop, making Bruneck LIVE a delightful way to spend an evening outdoors.
Located at the crossroads of the Puster valleys and at the foot of Kronplatz, Bruneck is one of the most vibrant towns in South Tyrol, with an elegant historic center dominated by its castle. In summer, it becomes an ideal base for hiking and mountain holidays, and events like Bruneck LIVE help make evenings in town even more enjoyable. The event is organized by Kronplatz Tourism, the local tourist office.
For the summer of 2026, Bruneck LIVE returns to Piazza Paul Tschurtschenthaler from July 10th to August 28th, with events almost every Wednesday and Friday.
