Six Friday evenings of live music, fire shows, and mountain cuisine during the Advent season in Campo Tures
In the heart of the Ahrntal Valley, in the province of Bolzano, the Taufra Xmas Sessions accompany the Advent season with six live music evenings held every Friday, from late November to early January. Each event takes place at a different location: the historic venues of Campo Tures (Sand in Taufers) and the hamlet of Molini di Tures (Mühlen in Taufers)—including local bars, cafés, and hotels—take turns transforming into welcoming meeting spots where you can spend the evening by the warmth of a bonfire.
The festival's formula is well-established. The evenings begin around 6:00 PM with the arrival of the musical wagon that leads the audience to the host venue; from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, live bands and artists take the stage with a repertoire ranging from acoustic sets to pop-rock. The most spectacular moment occurs around 7:30 PM with the fire show, which lights up the square and creates the evocative atmosphere typical of South Tyrolean winter nights.
To complete the experience, regional culinary specialties are served outdoors: hot mountain dishes, mulled wine, and warm drinks to enjoy with friends, in a setting that combines a love for good food with the conviviality of a South Tyrolean Christmas.
The Taufra Xmas Sessions are part of the broader Advent in Campo Tures (Advent in Taufers) program, which also includes the Enchanted Forest at the Riva Waterfalls, the Advent village in Molini di Tures, and the large nativity scene exhibition. The music festival represents its nocturnal and convivial soul, designed for both locals and the many guests who choose the Ahrntal Valley for a winter holiday.
Organized by the Campo Tures Tourist Board, the Taufra Xmas Sessions have become a staple of the local Christmas calendar, bringing warmth and rhythm to the coldest nights of the year in one of the most picturesque corners of South Tyrol.
The new edition of the Taufra Xmas Sessions opens the Advent calendar of Campo Tures on Friday, November 28, 2026, with the first evening hosted at the Icebar in Campo Tures. This year, the festival will again span six Friday evenings, featuring live music from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, a fire show around 7:30 PM, and regional culinary specialties served outdoors.
The detailed calendar for the following evenings, including venues and the full line-up, will be announced by the organizers in the weeks prior. Admission remains free, with food and drinks available for purchase.
Campo Tures can be reached by car from the Bressanone motorway exit (A22) by continuing along the Puster Valley to Brunico and then towards the Ahrntal Valley. By train, the reference station is Brunico, which is connected to Campo Tures by South Tyrolean bus lines (line 450 and local connections).
Admission to the evenings is free. Regional food and drinks are available for purchase at the host venues.
With the South Tyrol Guest Pass, public transport is free. Dress appropriately for the winter mountain climate: the evenings take place largely outdoors.
