The rock and metal festival at Giardino Scotto in Pisa
The Borderline Rock Fest is one of the most anticipated events in Pisa's summer music calendar, right in the heart of Tuscany. Born as the outdoor summer spin-off of the historic Borderline Club—a local landmark for rock and metal fans—the festival brings international bands and local Italian acts to the greenery of the Giardino Scotto every year, transforming the ancient fortress overlooking the Arno River into an open-air stage.
The 2026 edition is a special one: titled 30th Birthday, it celebrates thirty years of activity for the Borderline Club, a major milestone for one of the most iconic venues in the Province of Pisa. For the occasion, the festival spans two nights, July 30th and 31st, with a lineup that alternates global rock stars with the best of the Italian scene.
The festival takes place in the Giardino Scotto, a public park located within the Sangallo Fortress along the Arno River, just a short walk from Pisa's historic center. It is one of the city's most beloved outdoor spaces for summer concerts, perfectly blending the intimate atmosphere of a walled garden with the raw power of live music.
The festival is promoted by the Borderline Club in collaboration with the Municipality of Pisa, Pisamo, the Fondazione Pisa, and various local partners. More than just a series of concerts, the Borderline Rock Fest is a celebration of a community of enthusiasts who have kept rock and metal culture alive in the city for decades, confirming Pisa as one of Tuscany's capitals for the genre.
For its thirtieth anniversary, the Borderline Rock Fest doubles down, offering two nights at the Giardino Scotto in Pisa. July 30th is dedicated to big names in global rock, while July 31st focuses on the best of the Italian hard rock and metal scene. Tickets are available on Ticketone, with a discounted pass for those choosing to attend both nights.
The Giardino Scotto is located along the Lungarno Fibonacci, just a few minutes' walk from Pisa's historic center and the Pisa Centrale train station. Those arriving by car can use parking lots near the center, though using the train is recommended given the central location.
Doors open at 7:30 PM, shows start at 8:00 PM.
Tickets are available through the Ticketone network. A discounted pass valid for both nights is available.
