Rome's summer craft beer festival
Every summer, the Lungotevere Maresciallo Diaz gardens in the Farnesina district transform into the Birròforum Village, one of the most anticipated food and wine events of the Roman summer. Born as a spin-off of the famous Vinòforum, created by Emiliano De Venuti, Birròforum brings the best of Italian craft beer to the heart of Rome, in an open-air setting overlooking the Tiber.
The heart and soul of the event are the 26 top-tier national breweries, guiding visitors through a tasting journey across diverse brewing styles and traditions: from heavily hopped IPAs to crisp summer lagers, and from blanche to dark, full-bodied ales. Alongside the breweries, you will find beer shops, distributors, and distilleries, offering a comprehensive overview of the quality beer world.
Great food accompanies every sip: the gastronomic area offers street food and specialties with affordable tastings designed to be accessible to everyone. Fried delicacies, pasta dishes, meats, and regional specialties complete the experience, perfectly paired with the beers on tap.
A major highlight of the Birròforum Summer Festival is the live music, with the most original and entertaining street bands performing every night. The program also includes tasting workshops organized in collaboration with the UDB – Union of Beer Tasters, as well as seminars, food shows, and technical events dedicated to enthusiasts and curious visitors wanting to learn more about the work of master brewers. There is no shortage of games, entertainment, and a pet-friendly space.
Hosted in the Municipality of Rome, in the Lazio region, Birròforum has become a classic of the Roman summer: a convivial occasion to gather outdoors on the banks of the Tiber, amidst good beer, quality food, and music. Admission, which includes a tasting glass, grants access to all evenings of the festival.
From June 27th to 30th, 2026, the Lungotevere Maresciallo Diaz gardens in Rome hosted the Birròforum Village, the summer festival dedicated to Italian craft beer. The edition featured 26 national breweries, offering a tasting journey through diverse styles, accompanied by a large street food area with affordable options.
Every evening featured live music with the most original street bands, while the technical program offered tasting workshops with the UDB – Union of Beer Tasters, seminars, food shows, and events dedicated to enthusiasts. The open-air, pet-friendly event confirmed its role as a staple of the Roman summer.
Birròforum takes place in the Lungotevere Maresciallo Diaz gardens, in the Farnesina district (North Rome). By car, it can be reached from the Ponte Milvio area; to avoid parking issues, we recommend using public transport and the bus lines serving Farnesina.
The festival takes place in the evening, from 7:00 PM until late at night. Admission includes a tasting glass and a glass holder; beers are purchased using tokens. Gastronomic tastings are affordable and accessible to everyone.
This is an open-air, pet-friendly event: you are welcome to bring your dog. For the complete program of evenings, workshops, and guests, we recommend checking the official website www.birroforum.it.
