About Roma Summer Fest

Every summer, the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone transforms into the beating heart of live music in Rome. Produced by the Fondazione Musica per Roma in the Flaminio district, the Roma Summer Fest features over seventy concerts under the stars from June to September. Rock, pop, jazz, singer-songwriter sets, electronic music, and contemporary sounds fill the open-air amphitheater overlooking the Parioli hills, featuring both Italian stars and major international names.

Roma Summer Fest, the festival of the Roman summer

The Roma Summer Fest is the capital's premier summer music festival, hosted in the evocative Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, the open-air amphitheater designed by Renzo Piano in Rome's Flaminio district. Produced by the Fondazione Musica per Roma, the festival lights up over two months of concerts each year, from June to September, turning the scenic space overlooking the Parioli hills into one of the most beloved stages of the Italian summer.

A lineup spanning every genre

The strength of the Roma Summer Fest lies in its diverse programming, capable of bringing together more than seventy events in a single location. The Cavea stage hosts a mix of international rock and pop, world-class jazz, Italian singer-songwriters, electronic music, and contemporary sounds. It is a festival that places global legends alongside emerging voices, offering the Roman public a range of evenings rarely found elsewhere in the European summer festival circuit.

  • Major international icons of rock, pop, and world music
  • Exquisite jazz featuring absolute masters of their instruments and vocals
  • Italian singer-songwriters and the new local scene, from classic songwriting to the protagonists of indie and contemporary pop
  • Electronic music and club culture, with the return of the historic Dissonanze festival to close the season

The Cavea, a theater under the stars

The beating heart of the Auditorium, the Cavea is an open-air amphitheater designed for live music: enveloping tiers, refined acoustics, and the unique atmosphere of Roman summer evenings. Attending a concert in this space means experiencing music within the architectural and landscape context of one of Europe's most important cultural complexes, nestled in the greenery between Villa Glori and the Flaminio district.

Rome, the Capital of Lazio

The Roma Summer Fest takes place in the Municipality of Rome, the capital of the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital and the Lazio Region. The festival is part of the rich Estate Romana calendar and represents one of the city's flagship cultural offerings: an opportunity to combine the discovery of the capital's artistic and monumental heritage with the pleasure of a great evening of outdoor music, in a well-connected neighborhood just minutes from the historic center.

A fixed appointment of the Italian summer

Thanks to the artistic quality of the lineup and the setting of the Cavea, the Roma Summer Fest has established itself as one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer, a point of reference for the Roman public and the many visitors who choose the capital during the warmer months. Each edition confirms the festival's international vocation, without sacrificing the space reserved for the stars of the Italian music scene.
