Three nights of motorcycles, live music, and street food in the P.I.P. area of Mercato San Severino
The Bikers Rota Festival is the event that, since 2026, has been bringing together motorcycle enthusiasts, curious onlookers, and families in Mercato San Severino for three consecutive nights. It is organized by the Bikers Rota Mercato San Severino association, which chose the spacious P.I.P. area—the town's industrial zone—as the venue: a large, well-equipped space designed to comfortably accommodate visitors and riders arriving from across the province of Salerno and the Campania region. The first edition took place from July 10 to 12, 2026, with the patronage of the Municipality of Mercato San Severino and the collaboration of technical partner La Fonte.
The name of the event references Rota, the ancient medieval toponym for this territory at the foot of the Picentini Mountains: a way to link contemporary motorcycle culture to the area's historical identity. The organizers intend for the festival to «strengthen the bond between the territory and the biker community, promoting a culture of motorcycle tourism based on sharing, respect, and healthy values».
The festival is organized into four thematic areas that coexist in the same space and come alive every evening starting at 7:00 PM:
The musical program of the first edition featured an evening concert followed by a DJ set each day. On Friday, July 10, the stage lit up at 9:30 PM with The Oldmen Brothers, followed by a DJ set by Rocco Esposito. On Saturday, July 11, starting at 10:00 PM, it was time for the 90s Party, featuring the soundtrack of a decade that continues to make generations dance, once again with Rocco Esposito at the console. On Sunday, July 12, also at 10:00 PM, the closing was entrusted to Vaskom and the final DJ set.
Admission to the Bikers Rota Festival is free and open to all for all three nights: a choice that has made the event accessible not only to motorcyclists but also to anyone looking to spend an evening outdoors with music, motorcycles, and good food. The formula is the tried-and-tested one of summer festivals in Campania—ample space, a stage, and food stands—but focused on a specific theme: motorcycle tourism and biker culture, which has a large and active community in the Salerno area.
With over twenty thousand inhabitants, Mercato San Severino is one of the main centers of the Salerno hinterland, located between the Sarno Valley and the Irno Valley, at the foot of the Picentini Mountains. The town's landscape is dominated by the Castle of Mercato San Severino, an imposing medieval fortified complex that rises on the Parco hill: a visit worth combining with the festival for those arriving from out of town. Its location, just a few kilometers from Salerno and well-connected to the rest of Campania, makes the town an ideal starting point for two-wheeled itineraries towards the Amalfi Coast, Irpinia, and the passes of the Picentini.
The event thus fits into a rich summer calendar of local festivals and open-air celebrations in Campania, yet offers something different: not a traditional food festival, but a gathering that puts motorcycle passion and the conviviality that accompanies it at the center.
The debut of the Bikers Rota Festival brought hundreds of enthusiasts to the P.I.P. area of Mercato San Severino, in the province of Salerno, for three consecutive nights from Friday to Sunday. Each evening began at 7:00 PM with the opening of the exhibition area and food stands, followed by trial performances and live music on the central stage.
On Friday, July 10, at 9:30 PM, The Oldmen Brothers performed, followed by a DJ set by Rocco Esposito. On Saturday, July 11, starting at 10:00 PM, the 90s Party took place, again with Rocco Esposito at the console. On Sunday, July 12, at 10:00 PM, the final evening was entrusted to Vaskom and the closing DJ set.
Free admission, spacious areas, a dedicated motorcycle zone, and a well-curated culinary offering: the first edition established the model that the association aims to repeat, with the stated goal of strengthening the bond between the territory and the biker community of Campania.
By car: A30 Caserta-Salerno motorway, exit at Mercato San Severino, then follow signs for the industrial zone (P.I.P. area). By train: Mercato San Severino station on the Cancello-Avellino line, connected to Salerno and Avellino. By motorcycle: the area has ample parking space for vehicles.
Free admission. Stands and exhibition areas open from 7:00 PM; concerts in the late evening, from 9:30 PM onwards, followed by DJ sets.
The area is outdoors: it is best to bring a light sweater for the second part of the evening. Food stands allow you to dine on-site. For those arriving from afar, Mercato San Severino and neighboring towns offer accommodation, with Salerno about twenty minutes away by car.
