About Bike Experience

Bike Experience is a festival dedicated to cycle tourism and slow mobility that transforms Cascina Le Vallere in Moncalieri, just outside Turin, into the Piedmontese capital of two wheels every spring. Two days of guided excursions, bike testing, technical workshops, talks, a wellness area, a junior track, and a large exhibition village featuring dozens of industry brands. As the third most important cycle tourism event in Italy and the largest in Piedmont, it is a free event for families, enthusiasts, and curious visitors looking to discover a more authentic way to experience the region.

Bike Experience, the heart of Piedmontese cycle tourism

Bike Experience - Cycle Tourism Festival is the great celebration of two wheels held at Cascina Le Vallere in Moncalieri, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont. Hosted in the green spaces that serve as the headquarters for the Management Body of the Piedmontese Po Protected Areas, along the river, the festival is now considered the third most important cycle tourism event in Italy and the largest in the region.

A festival that has grown with every pedal stroke

Founded in 2022 by the Torino Bike Experience Association, the event has grown with each edition: from just a few brands at the beginning to over 50 exhibitors and more than 200 brands present, with attendance nearing 10,000 over the weekend. The festival was created to promote cycle tourism as a form of slow, sustainable, and territory-friendly travel, capable of showcasing the Turin hills, the Po river, and the protected areas surrounding Moncalieri.

What to do at the festival

The formula combines sport, culture, environment, and gastronomy in a rich program suitable for everyone:

  • Guided bicycle excursions of various levels and distances, from family-friendly routes to more challenging rides;
  • Expo Village with manufacturers, specialized shops, associations, and bike testing, including e-bikes and cargo bikes;
  • Junior track of approximately 1,000 sqm with instructors for children;
  • Workshops and talks on mechanics, saddle comfort, biomechanics, bike travel, and women's cycle tourism;
  • Wellness area with certified practitioners and trekking and walking activities in the park and hills;
  • Food area with Piedmontese producers and, on Saturday evening, the "Bike Party" with music, food, and beer.

Between tradition and innovation

Alongside the classic events, each edition offers new features that broaden the festival's scope: vintage bike rides in period clothing, screenings of cycle films and travel documentaries, itineraries linked to the UNESCO-recognized Po Hill, and a growing focus on sustainability with recycling and upcycling initiatives. The inclusion of trekking, walking, and wellness activities has transformed Bike Experience into a true outdoor festival.

An event for all of Piedmont

Free and designed for families, enthusiasts, and beginners, Bike Experience is much more than an industry trade fair: it is an opportunity to rediscover Moncalieri and Piedmont from a different perspective—that of the bicycle and slow mobility—during a spring weekend dedicated to the slow discovery of the territory.
