The golf tournament dedicated to beer at the Dolomiti Golf Club in Sarnonico
The Beer Festival Golf Cup is an annual golf tournament held at the Dolomiti Golf Club in Sarnonico, Val di Non, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Now a staple of the club's spring calendar, the tournament attracts about eighty players who test their skills on an eighteen-hole course set in one of the most picturesque alpine landscapes in Trentino, framed by the Brenta Dolomites and the forests of the Upper Val di Non.
More than just a high-stakes competition, the Beer Festival Golf Cup is designed as a day of sport and celebration. The format features an 18-hole competition divided into categories, with Gross, Net, Senior, and Ladies rankings, alongside the essential special Nearest to the Pin and Longest Drive contests that add an extra touch of challenge.
What makes the event unique is its connection to beer, as the name suggests: between the 9th and 10th holes, participants find a refreshment station with sausages and beer, while the post-game awards ceremony is followed by the classic dinner featuring ribs and beer provided by the sponsors. It is a perfect way to turn the day into a social gathering for members, enthusiasts, and guests.
The Dolomiti Golf Club is located on the Predaia plateau, between the municipalities of Sarnonico and Cavareno, and stands as a key golfing landmark in the Alps. The 18-hole course, surrounded by meadows and spruce forests at an altitude of about one thousand meters, offers a natural setting that serves as the ideal backdrop for an event where sportsmanship meets the pleasure of good company.
The tournament is traditionally held in May and is open to registered golfers. Entries are handled through the club's secretariat. For information on dates, format, and entry fees, it is recommended to contact the Dolomiti Golf Club in Sarnonico directly, as they publish the updated tournament calendar on their official website.
