Three nights of beer, handmade fettuccine, and live music at the La Cavaccia field
The Beer Festival and Fettuccine Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Allumiere, a village in the Tolfa Mountains within the Metropolitan City of Rome, in the Lazio region. Originally a beer-focused event, it has grown year after year. Organized with passion by the Contrada Nona, it transforms the La Cavaccia sports field into a vibrant festival space for three days, featuring food stalls, music, and fun for all ages.
Alongside the rivers of draught beer that made the event famous, recent years have seen the addition of the Fettuccine Festival: pasta strictly rolled by hand by the Contrada's chefs, using recipes rooted in local peasant cuisine. The signature dish was born from a collaboration with the Rione Casenove of Canale Monterano, renowned for its culinary traditions, and complements a menu that ranges from starters to typical main courses of the Tolfa area.
Every night, the La Cavaccia stage hosts live shows and DJ sets designed for a diverse audience, from families to young people. Concerts by bands and artists, classic covers, and dance parties turn each day into a small outdoor festival, continuing late into the night with long tables, toasts, and great music.
The festival is much more than just a food fair: it is a moment of identity for Allumiere and the system of "contrade" (districts), which are also the protagonists of the local historical Palio. Moving to the larger and better-equipped La Cavaccia sports field has allowed it to welcome an ever-growing audience, confirming the event as a cornerstone of the town's summer calendar.
The Beer Festival and Fettuccine Festival of Allumiere returns from July 24th to 26th, 2026, for its 33rd edition. The venue remains the spacious and well-equipped La Cavaccia sports field, featuring the proven formula of draught beer, handmade fettuccine, and live music evenings.
The organization is managed by the Contrada Nona, in collaboration with the Rione Casenove of Canale Monterano for the gastronomic offerings.
Allumiere is located in the Tolfa Mountains, in the hinterland north of Rome. By car, it can be reached via the A12 Rome-Civitavecchia motorway (Civitavecchia exit), continuing towards Tolfa and Allumiere, or via the Via Aurelia. The nearest train station is Civitavecchia, which is connected to the village by local bus lines.
The event is held at the La Cavaccia sports field, a large and well-equipped area just outside the town center.
Free admission; food and drinks at the stalls (beer, fettuccine, and local dishes) are available for purchase.
