Sixteen taps, live music, and Sannio cuisine in the courtyard of the Cuoremalto Brewery
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Beer... Eventum is the festival dedicated to craft beer held in Apollosa, a town in the Province of Benevento, in Campania. The event does not take place in a historic town square, but directly in the courtyard of the Cuoremalto Brewery, along the Appian Way at the junction for Apollosa: a choice that is a statement of intent, as the public drinks the beer just meters from the brewhouse where it is produced. The landscape is that of the inland Sannio region, at the foot of Mount Taburno, about ten minutes by car from Benevento.
The heart of the festival is the sixteen taps set up for the occasion, all dedicated to the production by brewer Vincenzo Mascia and brands fermented in the same facility. The brewery, which started as a beer firm in 2016 and became an independent producer in 2020, works with intentionally limited volumes—a few hundred hectoliters per year—and offers a range that spans the great international brewing schools, reinterpreted with local raw materials.
One of the elements that distinguishes Beer... Eventum from a simple beer festival is the presence, every evening, of guided tastings led by speakers from the Italian brewing world: ninety-minute thematic journeys dedicated each time to high fermentations, sour and wood-aged beers, or bottom fermentations. Places are limited and must be booked in advance: it is the most educational part of the event, designed for those who want to understand what they are drinking rather than just toast.
After the tastings, the courtyard becomes a stage. Past editions have alternated live concerts—from singer-songwriter folk to 1950s and 60s rock'n'roll and rockabilly, to Oktoberfest-style bands—and DJ sets with rock classics and 70s and 80s selections. On the gastronomic front, the festival focuses entirely on local businesses: Apollosa steakhouses, arrosticini, hanging caciocavallo cheese, fried foods, tacos, and artisanal chocolate from Benevento, with the addition of bottled wines and soft drinks. Payments are made via a token system to speed up queues at the taps.
The first edition dates back to October 2023, with thirteen beers on tap, seminars, and tastings; the second took place in September 2024, and the third from September 19 to 21, 2025, with three days and the now-consolidated Friday-to-Sunday format. In just a few years, Beer... Eventum has carved out a recognizable space in the Campanian brewing calendar, becoming the annual appointment where the brewery opens its doors to the public and presents its new range.
The festival is also an opportunity to get to know a corner of Campania less beaten by mass tourism. Apollosa has just over two thousand inhabitants and is located in the municipality of the same name between the Calore valley and the slopes of Mount Taburno, in an area known for the wines of Sannio—Aglianico, Falanghina, Coda di Volpe—and for a rustic cuisine of great character. Those arriving from outside the region can easily combine a visit to the festival with Benevento (Arch of Trajan, Roman Theater, Hortus Conclusus) and the villages of the Telesina valley.
For the 2026 edition of Beer... Eventum, there is no official announcement yet from the Cuoremalto Brewery of Apollosa (Province of Benevento, Campania). The dates indicated here are therefore indicative and based on the usual period of the event, the month of September.
If the rhythm of previous years is respected, the event should return to the brewery courtyard along the Appian Way with the already proven formula: taps dedicated to the house production, guided tastings with limited places, local food stands and food trucks from the Sannio region, live concerts, and DJ sets in the evening. No details of the program, line-up, or rates can be anticipated before the official communication.
To check dates and the program, it is advisable to consult the Facebook page Cuoremalto Birra Artigianale, the brewery's website, or call +39 347 8809375.
