Two evenings of music and flavor in the historic center of Marigliano
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
STORICAmente is the event that, since 2025, has restored the role of the city's natural square to the alleys of the historic center of Marigliano. We are in the metropolitan city of Naples, in Campania, in the heart of the Nola area: an urban fabric of Roman origin, with its orthogonal layout of cardines and decumani, which for two evenings transforms into an open-air stage made of music, flavors, and encounters.
The initiative was not born from an institutional calendar but from the ground up, by the will of a group of commercial businesses in the center โ including Madre Storica, Drink House, Return Cucina e Pizza, Bar La Dolce Vita, and Santa Sete โ who joined together in the Citizens' Collective of Commercial Operators of the Historic Center. The goal is clear: to create a network among local entrepreneurial entities and bring the historic center back to being a place of meeting, gathering, and social life, after years of progressive emptying. The Municipality of Marigliano has supported the event with its institutional backing.
The heart of the evenings is the central stage, set up between Via Pietro Giannone and Piazza Annunziata, where live performances alternate. The artistic line weaves two souls: on one hand, the names of Neapolitan singer-songwriters, and on the other, Marigliano artists and bands, to whom an entire evening is reserved. In the first edition, the stage hosted Francesco Di Bella, a historic voice of the Neapolitan music scene, accompanied by his full band.
Alongside the music, STORICAmente offers a widespread food and wine trail: kiosks and stands managed by local merchants enliven the streets with local specialties, traditional Campania dishes, and artisanal products. An interactive map guides visitors among the participating venues, refreshment areas, and the stage location, turning the walk through the alleys into a true itinerary of taste.
The festival is also an invitation to rediscover the city's heritage. Via Giannone, the main axis of the village, follows the ancient cardo maximus and leads to the Collegiata complex and the Church of San Biagio; not far away opens Piazza Annunziata, with the Church of the Annunziata and its valuable polychrome wooden altar. A few steps away stands the Ducal Castle, an ancient quadrangular medieval fortress remodeled by the Mastrilli family between the 17th and 18th centuries, with its arcaded loggias and 18th-century park. Walking through these architectural backdrops while music plays is, for many Marigliano residents, the very meaning of the event.
The motto chosen by the organizers โ "tradition, taste, and future" โ summarizes the spirit of the event: not an isolated occurrence, but the first step of a broader path of cultural and commercial revaluation of the ancient village. For the public, it means two convivial evenings with free access; for the city, the gamble of a historic center that is once again alive and central to social life.
To date, there are no official dates for a second edition of STORICAmente in the historic center of Marigliano, in the metropolitan city of Naples. The first edition was held on November 7 and 8, 2025, after the postponement of the days initially planned for October, and the organizers had presented it as the first step of a broader path for the relaunch of the ancient village. As no calendar has been published yet, the 2026 appointment remains to be confirmed: information will be released by the Citizens' Collective of Commercial Operators of the Historic Center and shared by the local press.
Marigliano is located about twenty kilometers northeast of Naples, in the Nola area. By train, the city is served by the Circumvesuviana EAV station on the NaplesโNolaโBaiano line. By car, it can be reached from the Asse Mediano and the A16 NaplesโCanosa motorway (Nola exit), continuing along the provincial roads towards the center.
The event takes place along Via Pietro Giannone and the surrounding streets of the historic center, with the stage set up between Via Giannone and Piazza Annunziata. During the evenings, traffic closures are in effect on Via Pietro Giannone, Via Montevergine, Via Collegiata, and Corso Umberto I: it is advisable to leave the car in parking areas outside the center and reach the village on foot.
Access to the event area and concerts is free and open to the public; food and drinks at the kiosks and participating venues are for purchase. In the 2025 edition, the evenings started at 7:00 PM, with live performances on the central stage late in the evening.
