The Italian beach soccer championship finals return to the beach where the sport was born
The Serie A Q8 Beach Soccer Scudetto Finals arrive on the beach of Scoglitti, a popular seaside district of the Municipality of Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa, in south-eastern Sicily. From August 4th to 9th, 2026, the Iblean coastline will host the final act of the longest-running and most competitive beach soccer championship, now in its 23rd edition. The choice of venue carries deep symbolic value: Scoglitti is considered the historical cradle of Italian beach soccer.
It was right here, in 1998, that the sport was first played in Italy; and in 2004, Scoglitti hosted the first international tournament organized under the aegis of the FIGC-LND and FIFA. Returning to compete for the national title on this sand, as organizer Fabio Nicosia emphasized, means bringing the movement back "to the place where it all started and where the Scudetto will be awarded today." For fans and the Ragusa region, it is a tribute to the Sicilian contribution to the growth of this sport.
The Scoglitti Finals conclude a long journey that has crossed Italy since late May. The 2026 season kicks off in Castelsardo (May 30th-June 2nd) with the Poule Scudetto and the Supercoppa, continuing through Terracina (Under 20 and Italian Cup, June 10th-21st), Lignano Sabbiadoro (June 25th-28th), Praia a Mare (July 3rd-12th), and Anzio (July 17th-25th), before the Sicilian finale. On the sandy arena set up by the sea, the title of Italian Champion and the final standings will be decided.
Promoted by the National Amateur League (LND) with the patronage of the Municipality of Vittoria and the support of title sponsor Q8, the event transforms the beach of Scoglitti into a grand open-air sports stage. With grandstands overlooking the Mediterranean, spectacular matches featuring bicycle kicks and acrobatic goals, entertainment, and a seaside festival atmosphere, the Scudetto Finals are a major attraction for Sicily and the entire national movement, blending sport, tourism, and the identity of the Iblean territory.
A seaside district of Vittoria, Scoglitti is one of the most popular coastal destinations on the Ragusa coast, known for its promenade, fishing port, and wide, sandy beaches. The summer setting and the village's tourist vocation provide the ideal backdrop for an event that, beyond sport, celebrates the hospitality and food and wine culture of south-eastern Sicily.
The 2026 edition of the Scudetto Finals brings beach soccer back to Scoglitti (Vittoria, RG) from August 4th to 9th. This is the 23rd edition of the Serie A championship organized by the National Amateur League with title sponsor Q8. The venue was unveiled during the official season presentation held in Rome on May 15th, 2026, and the memorandum of understanding with the Municipality of Vittoria was signed in December 2025. The teams competing for the national title will be defined at the end of the seasonal stages; the detailed match schedule and times at the Scoglitti arena will be communicated by the LND Beach Soccer Division closer to the event.
Scoglitti is a coastal district of the Municipality of Vittoria (RG). By car, it can be reached via the highway/state road towards Vittoria and then along the provincial roads leading to the sea. The reference train station is Vittoria, which is connected to Scoglitti by road. The nearest airports are Comiso (Ragusa) and Catania-Fontanarossa.
Access to the arena set up on the beach of Scoglitti is generally free. For match schedules and updated details, it is advisable to check the channels of the LND Beach Soccer Division.
The Scudetto Finals take place from August 4th to 9th, 2026, in the height of the beach season: it is recommended to book accommodation in the Scoglitti and Vittoria area in advance.
