Open-air music and dancing evenings in the heart of the Conero Riviera
When summer arrives, Sirolo's Parco della Repubblica changes its appearance and becomes a large open-air dance floor. Balla Sotto le Stelle is the festival of musical and dancing evenings that enlivens the hillside village of the Conero Riviera, in the heart of the province of Ancona, with live music, orchestras, and bands taking turns on stage to get everyone dancing. It's one of those events that tells the most authentic spirit of the Marche summer: no imposing stages, but the simple pleasure of gathering outdoors, dancing, and spending the evening in company.
The festival offers a series of evenings spread throughout the summer season, each entrusted to a different band or orchestra. The programme ranges from folk music (liscio) to ballroom rhythms, from traditional Italian songs to catchy melodies designed for those who love to dance. The evenings usually start at 8:30 PM and take place in the green space of Parco della Repubblica, just a short walk from the historic centre of Sirolo and its panoramic sea view.
Balla Sotto le Stelle is organised by Pro Loco Marche with the patronage of the Municipality of Sirolo, and is part of the rich summer programme that each year transforms this municipality in the Conero Park into one of the liveliest destinations on the Adriatic coast. Admission is free, making the festival particularly suitable for families and those looking for a convivial and carefree way to enjoy summer evenings.
Included among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, Sirolo is a small gem in the province of Ancona, suspended between the greenery of the Conero Park and the blue of the Adriatic Sea. Its beaches, the alleys of the historic centre, and the views of the promontory provide a natural backdrop for an open-air dance evening. Participating in Balla Sotto le Stelle also means discovering a territory where tradition, good Marche cuisine, and hospitality intertwine with the beauty of the landscape.
The 2026 edition of Balla Sotto le Stelle confirms the formula that has made the festival popular: evenings of live music and dancing in the open air at Sirolo's Parco della Repubblica, organised by Pro Loco Marche with the patronage of the Municipality. The schedule extends throughout the summer, from the June solstice to the first evenings of September, with free events suitable for families and dance enthusiasts.
