Art, theatre, sport and spirituality for everyone, in Porto Recanati
In Porto Recanati, a lively seaside town in the Province of Macerata overlooking the Conero Riviera, L'Incanto della Disarmonia is much more than a simple summer review. It is a mini-festival dedicated to art as a means of inclusion, built around a precise and generous idea: "Nobody Excluded". The initiative is promoted by Ubo Teatro APS, a theatre company and social promotion association founded in 2014 that embraces Peter Brook's lesson that "theatre does not judge: it welcomes, unites, transforms".
The festival's strength lies in bringing together different languages over a few days in June. Inclusive basketball traditionally opens the event at the "E. Medi" Sports Hall, with teams like Attila Junior Basket, Anthropos of Civitanova Marche, and the "L'Albero Magico" centre. This is followed by theatre and comedy shows, meetings on adolescence and body image, children's shows, and musical performances that often dialogue with the city's Fête de la Musique at the Natale Mondo Amphitheatre. The spiritual dimension is also present, coinciding with the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, the city's patron saint.
More than a calendar of events, L'Incanto della Disarmonia is an educational and social project involving associations, parishes, music schools, and Pro Loco (local tourism boards). The goal is to ensure that disability, diversity, and fragility are not seen as a dissonance but as a new harmony: hence the festival's name. For the public, it means participating in quality shows, almost always with free admission, immersed in the summer atmosphere of Porto Recanati, between the seafront, the Svevo Castle, and local cultural sites.
An event that showcases the most supportive and welcoming face of Porto Recanati and the entire Marche Region.
The 2026 edition of L'Incanto della Disarmonia is confirmed by the official Porto Recanati tourism portal, opening on Thursday, June 18, 2026. This is the fifth edition of the mini-festival conceived by Ubo Teatro APS, dedicated to art as a tool for inclusion.
As is tradition, the event is expected to span several days until June 24, intertwining inclusive basketball at the "E. Medi" Sports Hall, theatre and comedy shows, musical events at the Natale Mondo Amphitheatre, and moments of spirituality linked to the feast of the patron saint, Saint John the Baptist.
