The open-air rock, pop, and blues festival in Val Badia
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Badia Music Days is a free open-air music festival held in Badia (Abtei), a Ladin municipality in Val Badia, located in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, Trentino-South Tyrol. Set against the backdrop of the Dolomite peaks, the event features two days of concerts dedicated to rock, pop, and blues, showcasing both tribute bands and local musical groups. The festival typically takes place in July at the San Linert Pavilion, the village's event hall.
The festival's origins date back to 2001 with the Ötzi Rock event, which later continued as Badia Rocks. In 2009, the organizers decided to refresh the format, launching the Badia Music Days: a more intimate, free event open to a wider range of musical genres. Since its inception, nearly a hundred different bands have graced the stage, driven by the passion of a group of young music enthusiasts who continue to curate the lineup.
The festival thrives on a simple, convivial atmosphere, typical of mountain village celebrations. The San Linert Pavilion provides an outdoor space with a focus on sound quality, ensuring every band can perform at their best for the audience. In case of bad weather, the concerts move to the J.B. Runcher event hall, ensuring the event proceeds regardless of the weather conditions.
Badia is one of the Ladin municipalities in Val Badia, one of the most distinctive valleys in South Tyrol, where Ladin culture coexists with Tyrolean traditions. Surrounded by the peaks of the Sella Group and the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, the village is a renowned tourist destination in both winter and summer. The Badia Music Days serves as a gathering point for the local community and an opportunity for visitors to experience the mountains through live music.
At the moment, no official dates have been published for the 2026 edition of the Badia Music Days. The event typically takes place in July in Badia (Abtei), at the San Linert Pavilion, featuring free rock, pop, and blues concerts. Information will be updated as soon as the calendar and program are released by the organizers.
The San Linert Pavilion is located in Badia, along the SS244 Val Badia state road. Follow the SS244 towards Badia and take Via San Linert to the event hall; the pavilion is located behind it. In case of bad weather, concerts are held in the J.B. Runcher event hall.
Admission to the festival is free.
Badia and the neighboring towns of Alta Badia (Corvara, La Villa, San Cassiano) offer a wide selection of hotels, guesthouses, and apartments. In summer, the area is an excellent base for hiking in the Dolomites.
