Artisan chocolate by Italian masters along Via Roma

Every autumn, the center of Aversa, an elegant Norman city in the province of Caserta, transforms into a large open-air workshop dedicated to chocolate. The Artisan Chocolate Festival is a stop on the national Chocolate Festival tour, bringing the finest creations of Italian master chocolatiers to Via Roma in a fragrant journey that blends taste, tradition, and entertainment.
The heart of the event lies in the stalls of master chocolatiers from various Italian regions, who display and work with chocolate live. Visitors can discover pralines, gianduiotti, flavored bars, cremini, and spectacular chocolate sculptures, all crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Tastings allow you to savor sweet specialties from across the peninsula, from the most intense dark chocolate to the most original creations.
The festival is not just for those with a sweet tooth: the Choco Play area offers face painting, mascots, entertainment, and creative activities for the little ones. There are also educational workshops aimed at primary and middle schools, teaching children about the history and processing of cocoa. It is an event suitable for the whole family, set in a festive atmosphere enlivened by music and shows.
Hosting a chocolate festival in Aversa means placing it in a territory with a strong gastronomic identity. The city, famous for its Asprinio wine and a long pastry-making tradition, welcomes the event with enthusiasm every year, supported by the patronage of the Municipality of Aversa. For three days, Via Roma and the surrounding streets become an open-air lounge where you can stroll, browse the stalls, and indulge in the specialties.
The event is usually held in October, with stalls open from morning until late at night. Admission to the route is free: you only pay for what you buy or taste. The festival is part of the national Chocolate Festival circuit, which visits numerous Italian cities throughout the year, and in Aversa, it has become a highly anticipated event for enthusiasts in Campania.
