Autumn on the Tonezza Plateau
The Autumn Festival is one of the most characteristic events in Tonezza del Cimone, a mountain municipality in the province of Vicenza located at about 1,000 meters above sea level, on the border between Veneto and Trentino. The event takes place between late September and early October, when the plateau's woods are tinged with autumn colours and the village celebrates its rural traditions.
The Market and Typical Products
The heart of the festival is the market that animates the streets of the centre, with exhibitors of popular traditions, artistic crafts, and handmade creations. There is also space for the exhibition-market of typical local food and wine products, with seasonal sweet and savoury specialities, natural body care products, and handmade gift ideas.
Ancient Crafts
The Autumn Festival is above all a journey into the peasant and mountain memory of the plateau. Among the stalls, demonstrations of ancient crafts come to life: basket weaving, wood carving, cheese making, and wool spinning. A precious opportunity to see ancient skills at work and to involve adults and children in traditional activities and games.
A Community Festival in the Mountains
Promoted by the Pro Loco and the IAT office of Tonezza del Cimone, the Autumn Festival enhances the identity of a small Alpine village in the Vicenza area, combining tourist hospitality, mountain gastronomy, and popular traditions in a day designed for families and visitors.
Autumn Festival — edition 2026
The Autumn Festival 2026 will liven up Tonezza del Cimone (VI) during a weekend between late September and early October, along Via Roma and the village streets. In recent editions, the festival was held on the last weekend of September (September 28-29 in 2024, September 30-October 1 in 2023). The program confirms the market of crafts and typical products, demonstrations of ancient trades, and tastings of mountain products.

How to get there
Tonezza del Cimone can be reached by car from Vicenza by driving up the Val d'Astico (Piovene Rocchette or Casotto exit, then mountain road). The village is located at about 1,000 meters above sea level.
