Autumn Fair – Nuova Emaia (National Trade Fair)

A historic trade fair in the heart of Sicily

The Nuova Emaia Autumn Fair is one of the most significant trade exhibitions in Southern Italy and the premier commercial event for Vittoria, a vibrant hub in the province of Ragusa, Sicily. The event takes place every November at the Nuova Emaia Exhibition Centre, a spacious fairground located in the Capitina-Mendolilli district, just outside the city.

From the Fiera di San Martino to a modern trade exhibition

The fair has its roots in the Fiera di San Martino, a popular Vittoria tradition dating back to the 18th century, which for over three centuries has brought colorful stalls, local scents, and regional products to the city. In 1966, a group of local artisans and entrepreneurs launched the national trade fair, successfully blending the folkloric heritage of the historic market with a modern showcase dedicated to economy and innovation.

Exhibition sectors

Throughout the pavilions and outdoor spaces of the exhibition center, visitors can explore a wide range of sectors:

• Agri-food and typical Sicilian products, with a strong focus on Iblean excellence;
• Automotive and agricultural machinery, a key sector for this land with a strong agricultural vocation;
• Renewable energy and photovoltaics, home and garden furnishings;
• Crafts, clothing, accessories, and products for leisure and fitness;
• New technologies for business and solutions for regional development.

Events, tradition, and folklore

Alongside the exhibition, the program features conferences, tastings, evening musical performances, and family-friendly moments, including a dining area and a play space for children. Two events remain the heart of the festival's identity: the Fiera del Cavallo Ipparino, the historic Sunday morning livestock fair, and the traditional Fiera di San Martino, which concludes the event with its characteristic stalls. For the Municipality of Vittoria and the entire south-eastern Sicily, the Autumn Fair has always been much more than a commercial event: it is a symbol of civic identity and an engine for economic development.
