Electronic music amidst the Doric temples of Segesta
AURA Festival is a new electronic music event debuting in 2026 within the Segesta Archaeological Park, located in the municipality of Calatafimi-Segesta, in the province of Trapani, Western Sicily. The setting is among the most scenic in Italy: the 5th-century BC Doric Temple, perfectly preserved on the hillside, and the Greco-Roman theater overlooking the hills toward the Gulf of Castellammare. It is in this unique archaeological landscape that the festival's first edition offers two days of house and techno, running from 1:00 PM until 1:00 AM.
Organized by Unlocked Events, the festival was created to establish a dialogue between electronic music and the millenary history of Segesta. The organizers describe an experience that invites attendees to slow down in an increasingly fast-paced world, focusing on perception, depth, and balance. The result is a format designed for an intimate audience, with a capacity limited to approximately 4,000 people per day, prioritizing sound quality and the connection with the venue over sheer numbers.
The debut roster brings together some of the most highly regarded names in the international and Italian house and techno scene:
Sets are scheduled throughout the day, guiding the audience from the afternoon into the night, according to an indicative schedule (1:00 PM-3:00 PM, 3:00 PM-5:00 PM, 5:00 PM-7:30 PM, 7:30 PM-10:30 PM, 10:30 PM-1:00 AM), subject to possible changes.
Few electronic music festivals can boast such a backdrop. The Segesta Archaeological Park is one of Sicily's most important sites: the majestic unfinished Doric temple and the ancient theater carved into the rock coexist here, immersed in a hilly landscape just a few kilometers from the sea. AURA Festival transforms this heritage into a living stage, where contemporary sound meets the stones of Magna Graecia, offering the public an experience that blends culture, nature, and clubbing.
The inaugural edition of AURA Festival was held on May 1st and 2nd, 2026, within the Segesta Archaeological Park in Calatafimi-Segesta (TP). Two days of electronic music, with sets from the early afternoon until 1:00 AM and a capacity limited to approximately 4,000 people per day, brought house and techno into dialogue with one of Sicily's most fascinating archaeological landscapes.
Line-up of the first edition: Francesco Del Garda, Oshana, Onur รzer, Josh Baker, Traumer, Quest, Locklead, Sebastian, Bartolomeo, Sensazione Stupenda, and Biondo. Sets scheduled throughout the day from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM (times are indicative and subject to change).
