The Music Festival – City of Paceco is an event deeply rooted in the life of the town of Paceco, in the province of Trapani, in the heart of western Sicily. Reaching its 31st edition in 2025, the event celebrates Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music and musicians, with an annual concert that has become a long-awaited tradition for the entire community.

A concert in honor of Saint Cecilia

The centerpiece of the festival is the Concert in Honor of Saint Cecilia, which reached its 21st edition in 2025, hosted at the Auditorium Regina Pacis in Paceco. The absolute star is the Banda Musicale Città di Paceco, conducted by Maestro Nicolò Genova, which offers a repertoire designed to engage the audience and best celebrate the universal value of music, ranging from traditional band music to more well-known pieces.

Faith, tradition, and culture

The event intertwines two devotions: that for Saint Cecilia, patron saint of music, and that for Saint Catherine of Alexandria, patron saint of Paceco. In this sense, the Music Festival is not just a cultural event, but a moment that, as the organizers recall, serves to "strengthen traditions and honor the patron saints," uniting faith, local identity, and a passion for music.

The Banda Musicale Città di Paceco

The beating heart of the initiative is the Banda Musicale Città di Paceco, a historic ensemble that has accompanied the town's civil and religious celebrations for decades. Under the direction of Maestro Nicolò Genova, the band represents an important cultural pillar for the region, capable of passing down the Sicilian band tradition and introducing new generations to musical practice.
