The major summer music festival in the heart of Asti at Piazza Alfieri
Every July, the city of Asti, in the heart of Piedmont, hosts its major live music event: AstiMusica. The historic Piazza Alfieri, the city's living room surrounded by porticoes, transforms into an open-air stage welcoming some of the biggest names in Italian and international music. In 2026, the festival marks its 29th edition, confirming its status as one of the premier summer events in the Province of Asti.
The strength of AstiMusica lies in the variety of its program. Alongside concerts by major pop and rock artists, the schedule alternates between comedy shows, narrative theatre, and themed evenings dedicated to the musical nostalgia of the 80s and 90s. This multidisciplinary formula allows the festival to appeal to a broad and diverse audience, from families to young people, and from singer-songwriter enthusiasts to fans of international concerts.
While hosting ticketed concerts by nationally renowned artists, AstiMusica retains a popular spirit thanks to free-entry evenings that bring the square to life. The festival is also part of the summer calendar of the Municipality of Asti, intertwining with other city events such as the White Night and the traditional Record Fair under the porticoes, dedicated to vinyl collecting.
Experiencing AstiMusica is also an opportunity to discover Asti, a city famous for its historic Palio, the Festival of Festivals (Festival delle Sagre), and the great wines of Monferrato like Asti Spumante and Barbera. Piazza Alfieri, where the festival takes place, is the city's nerve center and an ideal starting point for exploring the historic center, the medieval towers, and the food and wine of a UNESCO World Heritage territory.
The 2026 edition of AstiMusica, the 29th of the festival, takes place in Piazza Alfieri in Asti from July 4th to 21st. The program combines international stars, Italian music giants, comedy and theatrical shows, as well as free evenings dedicated to musical nostalgia. The event is organized by the Municipality of Asti with promoters Mister Wolf and Audere.
AstiMusica concerts are held in Piazza Alfieri, in the historic center of Asti (Piedmont). The square is easily accessible on foot from anywhere in the city.
By train: Asti station is just a few minutes' walk from Piazza Alfieri. By car: Asti is connected by the A21 Turin-Piacenza motorway; it is recommended to use the city center car parks and walk to the square.
Tickets for paid concerts are available on TicketOne and at authorized sales points. Several evenings offer free admission.
Most evening shows begin late in the evening; it is recommended to check the exact time for each event on the official website.
