Asti's premier jazz festival featuring Italian icons and international talent
The AstiJazz Festival is a dedicated jazz event that brings the city of Asti, in Piedmont, to life, having become a staple for genre enthusiasts. Promoted by the Municipality of Asti in collaboration with the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and included in the prestigious Torino Jazz Festival Piemonte program, the festival hosts major Italian names and international talents on Asti's stages, offering a lineup that bridges tradition and modern innovation.
Launched in 2022, AstiJazz has quickly carved out a significant space in the cultural landscape of the Asti province, attracting a loyal and growing audience. Its winning formula lies in a diverse program that blends tributes to Italian music legends, contemporary jazz trios and quartets, and projects with international roots. Over the years, the festival has expanded its offerings to include music-themed literary meetings and film screenings, confirming a mission that extends far beyond the concert stage.
Concerts take place in the city's primary cultural venues. The Teatro Alfieri, a historic city theater, hosts opening events and major headliners, while the more intimate Sala Pastrone accommodates smaller, more personal projects, fostering a close connection between musicians and the audience. Past editions have also utilized the courtyard of the Astense Library and other historic center locations, showcasing the city's heritage.
AstiJazz is the ideal choice for those looking to experience Asti through a cultural lens, away from mass tourism but with an artistically refined program. It is a unique opportunity to enjoy live jazz in venues with excellent acoustics, discover established artists and rising stars, and soak up the atmosphere of a Monferrato city that has always championed quality.
The fifth edition of the AstiJazz Festival takes place in Asti from May 8 to 26, 2026, with four signature concerts hosted between the Teatro Alfieri and the Sala Pastrone. Promoted by the Municipality of Asti with the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and part of the Torino Jazz Festival Piemonte, the 2026 edition alternates a major tribute to Italian songwriting, contemporary jazz projects, and international sounds, confirming the refined formula that has made the festival an anticipated event in the Asti cultural calendar.
