The hill asparagus celebrated with music, taste, and tradition
The Asparagus Festival is the celebration that Rivoli Veronese, a municipality in the Veronese Valdadige overlooking the morainic amphitheater and famous for the historic Napoleonic battle of 1797, dedicates to its most beloved spring product: the hill asparagus. A historic event that, between late April and early May, attracts good food enthusiasts from all over the province of Verona.
The heart of the festival are the food stands, where local asparagus is served in numerous traditional Veronese preparations. The stands open every evening from 7:00 PM and, on holidays, also for lunch from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. An opportunity to taste a vegetable that symbolizes the hilly spring, in a landscape setting among morainic hills, vineyards, and olive trees.
The program is particularly rich in entertainment: musical tributes, ballroom dancing evenings with orchestras, DJ sets, contests for young talents, and dance evenings liven up the various days. There are also activities for families and children, creative workshops, walks in the hills, and the fun asparagus hunt. An event that combines taste, music, and social life.
Organized by the Municipality of Rivoli Veronese and the Pro Loco L'Anfiteatro, the festival is a rooted event, also marked by institutional moments such as the twinning with the nearby community of Custoza. An event that enhances the agricultural and historical identity of this corner of the Veronese Valdadige.
The 2026 edition marks the 30th Asparagus Festival of Rivoli Veronese, spread over two periods: from April 24 to 26 and from April 30 to May 3.
