Author jazz at Enoteca Bistrot Colonna, in the heart of Bertinoro
Artusi Jazz Winter is the winter edition of the festival organised by the Associazione Culturale Dai de Jazz APS, based in Forlimpopoli, the birthplace of Pellegrino Artusi, after whom the festival is named. For the first six days of January, the festival travels through the Bidente valley and the Forlì area, visiting villages such as Corniolo, Santa Sofia, Galeata, Meldola, Forlimpopoli, and Bertinoro, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna.
In the municipality of Bertinoro, famous as the "city of wine" and for its hospitality, the stop takes place at the Enoteca Bistrot Colonna, on Via Arrigo Mainardi, a short walk from the Rocca (fortress) and the scenic Piazza della Libertà with its "Balcone di Romagna" (Balcony of Romagna). Here, the jazz day combines several moments: the opening of a photographic exhibition dedicated to the world of jazz, the Sunday Jazz Brunch featuring the flavours of Romagnola cuisine, and an afternoon concert in a club format, in a warm and intimate setting.
The programming focuses on prominent national and international artists. In the 2026 winter edition, the Bertinoro stop hosted the Pepperlegacy project, conceived by saxophonist Gaspare Pasini, a tribute to Art Pepper with the participation of top-tier American musicians, accompanied by the photographic exhibition and brunch. The festival as a whole alternates concerts in theatres and churches, masterclasses, and meetings, with particular attention paid to the dialogue between music and the territory's identity.
What makes the Bertinoro stop special is the encounter between the language of jazz and the food and wine culture of Romagna. Bertinoro is one of the most beautiful villages in the Forlì hills, a land of Sangiovese and Albana wines, and the wine bar offers the ideal setting to listen to live music while tasting local products. The festival is aimed at both jazz enthusiasts and visitors wishing to discover Emilia-Romagna in a cultural and intimate setting, away from the summer tourist season.
Held in the first days of January, Artusi Jazz Winter is now an eagerly awaited event for those seeking a different way to start the year: a musical itinerary through the villages of Forlì, with the Bertinoro stop as one of its most evocative moments.
In the 2026 winter edition, on Sunday, January 4th, the Bertinoro stop at the Enoteca Bistrot Colonna offered a full day: the presentation of a photographic exhibition dedicated to jazz, the Sunday Jazz Brunch, and in the afternoon, the concert of the Pepperlegacy project conceived by saxophonist Gaspare Pasini, a tribute to Art Pepper with the participation of renowned American musicians. The stop was part of the broader Artusi Jazz Winter 2026 program, which also visited Corniolo, Santa Sofia, Galeata, Meldola, and Forlimpopoli, confirming the festival's travelling nature in the Forlì area.
