A street festival in the heart of Arzano

Artisti in Chiazza is the International Festival of Street Theatre and Performing Arts held in the Villa Comunale of Arzano, just outside Naples. Created to bring performing arts into public spaces and return the town's green areas to the community, the festival has established itself as one of the most anticipated cultural events in the area north of the regional capital, hosting over seventy Italian and international artists over the years.

Street arts on stage

The program brings together the many facets of street theatre: juggling, aerial dance and acrobatics, roving music, clowning and comedy, fire performances, and visual shows. Artists perform along the park's pathways, involving the audience in a wandering route where every corner becomes a stage and both adults and children can be surprised by live wonder.

A project for the new generations

The festival pays special attention to childhood and the new generations: recent editions have proposed an artistic journey designed to stimulate creativity and active participation among the youth through the universal language of the performing arts. The artistic direction is entrusted to Orazio De Rosa, with the organization by the La Baracca dei Buffoni company.

Arzano and the Metropolitan City of Naples

The event takes place in Arzano, a municipality within the Metropolitan City of Naples, in Campania, and is supported by the Municipality of Arzano and the Metropolitan City itself. The Villa Comunale, the town's green heart, becomes a place of meeting and celebration for the occasion, where theatre steps out of conventional venues to become a shared, free heritage accessible to everyone.
