Music, flavors, and fun in the square of Casale di Carinola
Armonie in Piazza is the summer event that brings Casale di Carinola to life, a hamlet within the municipality of Carinola, in the hinterland of the Caserta province, Campania. For one evening, the village square transforms into a large open-air stage where music, good food, and conviviality meet, attracting families, young people, and curious visitors from across the region.
The first edition, held in 2025, was born from the spontaneous initiative of a group of local musicians and enthusiasts. As the organizers themselves recount, they pooled their own resources and secured sponsors to gift the community a day of great music. This voluntary and participatory spirit gave birth to the Armonie in Piazza Music Festival, with the goal of turning the square into a place for gathering, tradition, and sharing.
The heart of the evening is always live music. While the first edition focused on band and classical repertoires, subsequent editions have opened up to dance and pop music, with orchestras designed to get the audience moving and involved. Alongside the concerts, there are shows and entertainment moments dedicated to children, ensuring the festival can be enjoyed by entire families.
Armonie in Piazza is also an opportunity to rediscover the flavors of local Casale cuisine. Food stalls offer local specialties and, above all, the traditional pizza fritta, an authentic symbol of the local gastronomy that accompanies the evening note by note.
Nestled in the hills of the Alto Casertano, Carinola preserves a medieval historic center and a strong rural and artisanal identity. The hamlet of Casale, with its Piazzetta Deportati, offers the ideal space for a community festival that bridges generations and enhances the sense of belonging to the village. Today, Armonie in Piazza is one of the most cherished events of the Casale summer.
The 2026 edition of Armonie in Piazza took place on Saturday, July 18 in the square of Casale di Carinola, a hamlet of the municipality of Carinola in the province of Caserta. The evening confirmed the successful formula combining live music, entertainment, and local flavors, attracting families and visitors of all ages.
The Allegria Italiana orchestra took the stage with a repertoire designed to engage the audience and encourage dancing, while children enjoyed dedicated shows and activities. To complete the festivities, food stalls offered local specialties and the must-have pizza fritta.
