About Aperi-libri

Aperi-libri is the literary festival of the Municipality of Isera, in Vallagarina (Trentino-Alto Adige), dedicated to the region's emerging female voices. Enjoy three encounters with authors in the stunning 16th-century setting of Palazzo de Probizer, featuring book presentations, guest dialogues, closing toasts, and book signings. Curated by Antonella Marzadro, admission is free.

An all-female literary festival in Isera

Aperi-libri is a series of author encounters organized by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Isera, a small town in the Vallagarina valley in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Curated by Antonella Marzadro, the initiative aims to showcase young female literary voices from the Trentino region in an intimate, convivial format that pairs book presentations with an aperitif.

The setting: Palazzo de Probizer

The meetings take place in the evocative Palazzo de Probizer, located at Piazza San Vincenzo 1, an ancient noble residence with over five centuries of history in the heart of Isera. The palace, one of the town's most characteristic landmarks and deeply linked to the local Marzemino wine tradition, provides an exceptional backdrop for these literary evenings.

How the evenings unfold

Each event follows a set structure: the author presents their work in conversation with a guest, followed by a Q&A session with the audience, a toast, and a final book signing. The "Aperi-libri" concept perfectly captures the fusion of reading and the social ritual of the aperitif, creating a cozy, informal atmosphere that brings the public closer to the authors.

A local cultural project

The festival celebrates female writing and the literary output of the Vallagarina and Trentino regions, highlighting novels, poetry collections, and contemporary fiction. Aimed at adults, young people, and book lovers, Aperi-libri is free to attend, with limited seating, and serves as a key pillar of the Municipality of Isera's vibrant cultural program.
