A tournament born from memory

The Antonio Cinquemani Memorial is a youth football event held in Montallegro, a small town in the province of Agrigento, Sicily. The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Antonio Cinquemani, an eighteen-year-old local boy whose life was cut short by a tragic road accident on the SS115 highway. From that loss, the community of Montallegro chose to respond with a gesture of affection and life, creating a sporting event that every year attracts children, families, and local clubs.

Organizers

The event is strongly supported by ASD Bovo Marina Montallegro, with the backing of Libertas. Key figures in the organization include Bovo Marina president Innocenzo Ferraro, along with Davide Spagnolo and Giuseppe Marrella. The Cinquemani family is constantly present during the Memorial, welcoming participants and providing refreshments: a gesture that turns grief into care for others and gives the tournament its deepest meaning.

Categories on the field

The Memorial is reserved for grassroots youth categories and pits football schools from the Agrigento area against each other. The matches are divided into the youngest age groups:

• Piccoli Amici, the youngest category, where the result matters less than fun and friendship;
• Primi Calci, featuring challenges between local football schools;
• Pulcini, featuring the most competitive matches of the tournament.
