The spring fair that brings the center of Ciriè to life with agriculture, nurseries, street food, and local traditions.
The Annunziata Fair is one of the most anticipated spring events in Ciriè, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont. Every year, on the last weekend of March, the streets and squares of the historic center transform into a large open-air market dedicated to agriculture, gardening, food and wine, and local specialties.
The event celebrates the deep bond between Ciriè and its farming heritage: the fair originated from the ancient custom of farmers who, at the end of winter, would meet to trade products, purchase supplies for field work, and prepare for the new agricultural season around the time of the Annunciation.
The event spans the main arteries of the city center. Corso and Viale Martiri della Libertà host displays of agricultural machinery, gardening equipment, vintage cars, and artisanal products. Via Vittorio Emanuele II hosts the "Fair Merchants," featuring stalls of local products and handmade crafts, while the main fair market extends across Corso Nazioni Unite, Piazza Castello, and Via Trivero.
Alongside the commercial and gastronomic offerings, the fair highlights strong local identity through events like the Rudunà, an exhibition and "concert" of large cowbells (the rudun), and free access to the historic rooms of Palazzo D'Oria, featuring photo exhibitions and library tours. Activities for children, such as pony rides, make the Annunziata Fair a perfect event for the whole family.
Organized by the City of Ciriè, often in collaboration with the local Coldiretti branch and the Pro Loco, the fair attracts thousands of visitors from the Ciriacese area and the entire Turin metropolitan region, marking the true beginning of the beautiful season.
The 2026 edition of the Annunziata Fair was held in Ciriè on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, confirming its two-day format featuring agriculture, gardening, food and wine, and Ciriacese traditions.
The Food Village in Piazza D'Oria was active from Saturday to Sunday with regional specialties from all over Italy, while the city center streets hosted the fair market, the "Fair Merchants" on Via Vittorio Emanuele II, and zero-mile producers. Side events included "Paws at the Fair" at Villa Remmert, "Farms at the Fair" with farm animals, the Rudunà, and free access to Palazzo D'Oria.
The last weekend of March, coinciding with the period of the Annunciation.
Ciriè is located about 20 km north of Turin. By car, it can be reached via the SP1 or the Turin North Tangenziale; by train, it is served by the Turin-Ceres railway line (Ciriè station). During the fair, traffic changes are expected, and designated parking areas are available outside the center.
Access to the fair and exhibitions is free.
