Andrian Rockt: when the brass band meets rock

Andrian Rockt is a live music night held at the Festplatz in Andriano (known as Andrian in German), a small wine-growing municipality in the autonomous province of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige. The event is promoted by the Musikkapelle Andrian, the local brass band, which created this format to offer the public an unusual encounter between traditional South Tyrolean brass music and the modern sounds of rock and punk.

A format born in 2025

The first edition took place in 2025 and immediately found a successful formula: the band opens the evening with its own concert, then makes way for three local groups. The most distinctive moment is the collaboration between the Musikkapelle and the bands, with a song played together with each group, acting as a bridge between two seemingly distant musical worlds.

Local bands

The lineup highlights the local music scene, giving space to groups that enliven the area's cultural life. The inaugural night featured performances by:

• Sekondhend, with a set dedicated to rock covers;
• Business Punx, bringing the energy of punk;
• Low Five, closing the night with their live repertoire.

A village festival open to everyone

Andrian Rockt is designed as a popular and convivial event: admission is free, and food and drinks are available throughout the evening. The formula combines tradition and modernity, live performance and social gathering, in an atmosphere suitable for all ages. For a small municipality like Andriano, it is also an opportunity to bring the community together and celebrate the commitment of its volunteers around the brass band, a historic local institution.

Andriano and South Tyrol

Andriano is one of the smallest municipalities in South Tyrol, nestled along the Wine Road just a few kilometers from Bolzano. A land of vineyards and alpine landscapes, it offers visitors an authentic setting where local events maintain a genuine, small-town character. Andrian Rockt fits into this context as a young yet already iconic event, capable of fostering a dialogue between German-speaking brass band culture and the energy of contemporary live music.
