Alpini Festival - Aldeno Alpini Group

A village festival hosted by the Alpini

The Alpini Festival is the summer event organized by the Aldeno Group of the National Alpini Association (A.N.A. Trento Section), which every year transforms Parco delle Albere into a meeting point for the entire community. We are in Aldeno, a small municipality in the Autonomous Province of Trento, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region, located in the Vallagarina valley south of the regional capital. Here, the Alpini tradition is deeply rooted, and the 'penne nere' (black feathers) are a cornerstone of local volunteering and community life.

The green heart of Aldeno

Parco delle Albere can be reached from the town center via a convenient pedestrian path and overlooks the Arione stream. It is a green space popular with families, children, and young people, which during the festival fills with food stalls, outdoor tables, and music. The choice of this natural setting gives the event an authentic and convivial character, perfect for summer evenings in Trentino.

Alpini cuisine, music, and the fishing competition

The typical program of the Alpini Festival spans several days and revolves around a few highly anticipated fixed events:

• the opening with an aperitif, bar service, and music;
• evenings featuring live music and DJ sets;
• the traditional Alpini lunch, with mountain dishes prepared by the Group's volunteers;
• the fishing competition, with a category reserved for those under 16 and an open competition for everyone.

Proceeds from the Alpini festivals support the Group's volunteering and solidarity activities, in line with the A.N.A. spirit: building community, helping others, and keeping the memory and traditions of the Alpini corps alive.

A staple of the Trentino summer calendar

Established for years, the Aldeno Alpini Festival is a free, open-air event designed for all ages. It represents one of those moments when the town comes together across generations, blending the pleasure of good food with the simplicity of a village square festival. For the residents of Aldeno and the neighboring towns of the Vallagarina valley, it has become a fixed date on the summer calendar.
