A Gathering for Biscione Enthusiasts

The Alfa Romeo Festival is the most important sporting and collectors' event of the Italian Alfa Romeo Register (RIAR), which annually brings together hundreds of enthusiasts and owners of cars from the Milanese brand at the Riccardo Paletti Racetrack in Varano de' Melegari, in the Parma Apennines. The circuit, named after driver Riccardo Paletti, has been linked to Alfa Romeo for decades, partly due to the long-standing presence of Andrea de Adamich's International Driving Safety Centre.

The 2026 Edition and the 1st International 4C Gathering

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the Alfa Romeo Festival hosted the 1st RIAR International Alfa Romeo 4C Gathering, the inaugural event dedicated to the famous carbon fibre sports car: around forty examples, in all colours, versions, and special trims, met at Varano to take to the track and for the road re-enactment of the historic Parma-Poggio di Berceto hill climb, first inaugurated in 1913 along the Parma Apennines.

The Day's Programme

The event takes place entirely over one day, alternating track activities and social moments:

• registration, sporting checks, and car display in the morning;
• presentation briefing and track sessions in turns;
• lunch at the racetrack restaurant;
• afternoon departure for the Parma-Poggio di Berceto hill climb re-enactment, with return to the circuit;
• further track sessions and a final parade of all the cars.

A RIAR Tradition in Varano

The Alfa Romeo Festival has been held in Varano de' Melegari for years, often combined with the Carlo Chiti Trophy and celebrations of the Marque's major anniversaries, and frequently coincides with other events dedicated to historic cars, such as the Youngclassic Fest. It is open to all Biscione enthusiasts, not just Register members, and public entry is free. For visitors to the province of Parma and the Emilia-Romagna region, it is an opportunity to admire masterpieces of Italian automotive engineering up close in a setting nestled in the Apennine hills.
