An ancient village of music and bread, nestled in the alleys of Bomerano
The Agerola World Music Festival is the event that brings the village of Bomerano, a hamlet of Agerola on the heights of the Amalfi Coast near Naples, to life every third weekend in July. For three consecutive evenings, the streets of the historic center, small squares, and alleys turn into a vast, open-air stage where world music meets local Campanian traditions and regional flavors.
The festival has a dual spirit. Starting at 8:00 PM, the so-called village groups enliven the alleys and clearings with a rich program spanning genres, cultures, and continents: from Campanian folk to blues, soul, and tribute bands. Later, around 10:00 PM, the main concerts take the stage in the heart of the village, in Piazza Paolo Capasso, featuring nationally acclaimed artists. It is a journey that invites the audience to wander, listen, and be surprised at every turn.
The event is inextricably linked to the Bread Festival, which gives the festival its nickname of "ancient village of music and bread." Agerola is famous for its bread, fiordilatte, and dairy products. Throughout the evenings, visitors can follow a gastronomic trail through the village streets, featuring traditional Campanian menus including caponata, peasant-style pasta, sausage and provola sandwiches, local desserts, and drinks. Gastronomy thus becomes an integral part of the show, in a continuous dialogue between music and conviviality.
Situated at an altitude of over 600 meters, Agerola is the starting point for the famous Path of the Gods and offers a privileged view of the Amalfi Coast. The World Music Festival is the perfect opportunity to discover the identity of this Campania territory: its rural roots, its music, and its flavors. A summer appointment that unites residents and tourists in an atmosphere of popular celebration, accessible to all and free of charge.
The 2026 edition was held from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 19 in the village of Bomerano, Agerola. Each evening, from 8:00 PM, the alleys of the historic center hosted music from the village groups, while the main concerts took place in Piazza Paolo Capasso around 10:00 PM. The festival confirmed its dual spirit, blending world music and gastronomic tradition with the unmissable Bread Festival.
The village groups enlivened the alleys and squares with a program spanning various genres and cultures: Marilù Saraco Trio, Via degli Orazi, La Paranza Madonna di Bagni, Trio Vadinho, The Evergroove, Moja Band, Gocce di Blues, Soul Dress Band, Vintage Trio, Scansamalucchie, Over Scugnizzi, Welcome Santana Tribute Band, and Mimmo Vitale.
Agerola can be reached by car from the A3 Naples-Salerno motorway (Castellammare di Stabia exit), continuing along the SS366. Alternatively, SITA buses connect Agerola with Naples, Amalfi, and the Coast. The concerts take place in the Bomerano hamlet, in Piazza Paolo Capasso and the alleys of the historic center.
Admission is free. The evenings begin at 8:00 PM with music throughout the alleys; the main concerts in the square start around 10:00 PM.
