The Spring Concerts and the piano festival between Savona and Val Bormida
The Accelerando Festival is a historic classical music review in Savona, now in its thirty-eighth edition. Its Spring Concerts accompany the beautiful season with a program ranging from choral and symphonic music to piano recitals, under the artistic direction of Cinzia Bartoli.
The program alternates choral and orchestral concerts—such as the opening entrusted to the Coro Manzino and the Accademia Musicale Teresiana—with a refined International Piano Festival, which brings prominent performers to the Sala Stella Maris. A proposal that combines artistic quality and care in the choice of venues, among the historic churches and halls of the city.
The review is not limited to the provincial capital: some concerts are also held in Altare, in Val Bormida, bringing great music to the Savona hinterland. A festival that for almost forty years has been a benchmark for classical music enthusiasts in the area.
The 38th edition of the Accelerando Festival, directed by Cinzia Bartoli, enlivens the Savona spring with the Spring Concerts. The inauguration, on May 23rd, is entrusted to the Coro Manzino and the Accademia Musicale Teresiana in the Church of San Giuseppe. The International Piano Festival, at Sala Stella Maris, presents recitals by Pierluigi Camicia (June 3rd) and Letizia Michielon (June 5th). Some concerts are also held in Altare, in Val Bormida.
Further concerts, also in Altare (Val Bormida), complete the Spring Concerts program.
