Three days of country music and dance on the Montesilvano seafront
The Abruzzo Country Rock Summer Festival is one of the most iconic events of the summer in the Municipality of Montesilvano, in the province of Pescara, right in the heart of the Abruzzo Adriatic coast. Every year, at the beginning of July, the festival draws dancers, country music fans, and curious visitors from across Central Italy, turning the promenade into a large Western-style gathering overlooking the sea.
The heart of the event is the large dance floor set up just steps from the beach, where DJ sets, line dance routines, and country dance demonstrations take place. The festival is brought to life by instructors and choreographers who lead workshops for dancers of all levels, covering both traditional steps and the latest trends from the international country scene. The soundtrack ranges from classic country to country rock, with evenings that stretch late into the night.
The Country Rock Summer Festival is designed as a true themed village, featuring entertainment, American-style street food, family-friendly areas, and activities that fill the days along the seafront. Admission to the evenings and organized activities is free, a feature that has helped make it one of the most popular events in the Montesilvano summer calendar.
Established in the 2010s, the festival is organized by the Free Country ASD association and is part of the extensive Montesilvano Summer Fest program, the municipality's summer schedule featuring hundreds of free events including concerts, shows, exhibitions, and popular festivals from June to mid-September. The Country Rock Summer Festival stands out as one of the most distinctive offerings in this calendar, successfully blending a passion for country culture with the seaside atmosphere of the Adriatic Abruzzo.
With its mix of live music, DJ sets, dancing, gastronomy, and Western setting, the festival appeals to both experienced dancers and families or tourists vacationing on the coast. The combination of the seaside dance floor, warm summer nights, and the convivial spirit typical of country events makes it a unique experience along the Pescara coast.
From July 3rd to 5th, 2026, Montesilvano hosted the eleventh edition of the Abruzzo Country Rock Summer Festival. A large dance floor overlooking the sea was set up on the promenade, serving as the heart of the event, with evenings enlivened by DJ sets from DJ Flavio Pallaro and DJ Mick.
The program featured line dance choreography, workshops led by instructors and choreographers for dancers of all levels, as well as street food and Western-style entertainment. The event, with free admission, was part of the extensive Montesilvano Summer Fest 2026 calendar organized by the Municipality of Montesilvano, in the province of Pescara.
