The historic cellars of Ceppagna open to the public
Ceppagna, a hamlet of Venafro (province of Isernia) with about 600 inhabitants, becomes the stage for "A Stroll Among the Cellars" on a summer evening: an enogastronomic, musical, and popular event that winds through the alleys, squares, and ancient cellars of the village. Now in its tenth edition, it is one of the most consolidated and anticipated events of the Venafro Summer.
Two souls: folk and DJ
The event is divided into two areas with two different atmospheres. In the upper and ancient part of the village, in Piazza 2 Febbraio (the small square of February 2nd), the popular section takes place with folk groups, traditional accordion, and songs; among the protagonists are the characteristic "Bambola di Ceppagna" (Ceppagna Doll) and young accordionists. In Piazza Padre Pio, however, the DJ console entertains the younger audience with dance music.
A journey of taste through the alleys
Along the route, numerous stands offer local cuisine dishes and, above all, plenty of wine, in an itinerary that invites you to stroll from cellar to cellar. It is a festival that enhances the identity of a small hamlet and the culture of wine and popular singing, connecting residents, associations, and communities of the Venafro territory.
Cellars of Ceppagna — edition 2026
For the summer of 2026, the return of "A Stroll Among the Cellars of Ceppagna" is anticipated, on an evening in July through the alleys and historic cellars of the hamlet of Venafro. The usual format includes the enogastronomic route with wine and local cuisine stands, the popular section with folk groups in Piazza 2 Febbraio, and dance music in Piazza Padre Pio. The exact date and program will be announced in the Venafro Summer calendar.

The detailed 2026 program will be published closer to the event. Based on recent editions, the evening will feature: an enogastronomic route through the historic cellars with wine and local dishes stands; in Piazza 2 Febbraio, the popular section with folk groups, accordion, and traditional songs; in Piazza Padre Pio, the DJ console for the younger audience.
