Four days of live music, zero-kilometre food, and environmental sustainability in the village of Santa Luce
Among the rolling hills of the Pisan Hills, the small town of Santa Luce, in the Province of Pisa (Tuscany), becomes a meeting point every August for those who love live music, good food, and respect for the environment. A Piedi Nudi Ecofestival is a free event organized by the ARCI Sports and Culture Association of Santa Luce, which was founded in 2011 and has grown over time to become one of the most anticipated summer events in the Pisan hinterland.
The festival takes place around the ARCI Club of Santa Luce, in Piazza Luigi Pellegrini, and comes to life thanks to the work of over a hundred volunteers. The main stage hosts a rotation of reggae bands, indie projects, world music groups, and emerging artists, with free evening concerts. Every night, before the live shows, an aperitif on the lawn welcomes the public with DJ sets and live performances, in an informal and welcoming atmosphere that brings together different generations and cultures.
One of the hallmarks of A Piedi Nudi is the festival restaurant, which offers dishes made with zero-kilometre products sourced directly from local farms: pasta, oil, flour, wine, and local meats, with a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. Craft beers from the Tuscan brewery Bruton are on tap. The entire event focuses on plastic-free management, waste recycling, and CO2 emission compensation initiatives, such as planting bamboo forests in Tuscany.
Alongside the concerts, the festival offers ecological walks along the nature trails of the Pisan Hills, just a stone's throw from the Santa Luce Lake Oasis, a protected area managed by the WWF and a popular destination for birdwatchers. Stalls featuring artisans and small producers complete the experience, transforming the village into a living showcase of local excellence. A Piedi Nudi is much more than a music festival: it is a way to experience Santa Luce and the lesser-known Tuscany in a slow, authentic, and environmentally friendly way.
The 2026 edition of A Piedi Nudi Ecofestival will be held in Santa Luce (Province of Pisa) from August 13 to 16, 2026, as announced by the Terre di Pisa tourist portal. As per tradition, the festival will offer four evenings of free concerts on the main stage, aperitifs with DJ sets and live bands, a restaurant with local zero-kilometre products, and stalls featuring local artisans and producers, all in the name of environmental sustainability.
At the moment, the concert line-up has not yet been made public. The full program, including artists and evening schedules, will be announced by the ARCI Sports and Culture Association of Santa Luce in the weeks leading up to the event through the festival's official channels.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event.
The festival's usual structure includes, for each of the four evenings:
The names of the 2026 artists will be communicated via the festival's official Facebook page.
Santa Luce can be reached by car from the SS1 Aurelia (Rosignano exit) or the FI-PI-LI highway, continuing towards the Pisan Hills. The nearest train stations are Rosignano Solvay or Cecina, from where you can continue by car or local transport. The festival takes place at the ARCI Club, in Piazza Luigi Pellegrini, 2.
Admission to the concerts is free. The stalls and restaurant open in the late afternoon (around 6:30 PM), the aperitif with music starts at 7:00 PM, and the main stage concerts begin in the evening.
We recommend arriving a little early for dinner to enjoy the zero-kilometre dishes at the festival restaurant. Bring comfortable shoes for the ecological walks in the surrounding area and the Santa Luce Lake Oasis.
