A day of solidarity in the heart of the Giudicarie

A Party for Everyone — Festa del Paolin is the annual summer charity event that brings the Parco al Poz in Preore to life. Located in the municipality of Tre Ville, within the Giudicarie valleys of the autonomous province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige, the festival is organized by the Amici del Paolin Association in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Preore. It is dedicated to the memory of Paolo Giardini, the young Paolin who passed away at just ten years old, whose legacy continues to inspire acts of generosity.

An association born from a memory

The Amici del Paolin Association was founded in 2017 by Paolo's parents, Moreno Giardini and Silvia Marchetti, along with his sister Alice. Since then, the association has raised funds to support families living with disabilities, the organizations that care for them, and inclusive local projects. Over the years, the initiatives of the Amici del Paolin have provided thousands of euros to organizations such as the Tione Handicap Community, Paralympic athletes, and adaptive sports projects.

Sports, food, and music all day long

The festival runs from morning until night with a program designed for families, children, and sports enthusiasts. The morning kicks off with inflatables for the little ones and a youth Green Volley tournament managed by ASD Brenta Volley. At noon, the aperitif leads into lunch featuring the traditional polenta carbonera, a signature dish of Trentino mountain cuisine.

In the afternoon, the volleyball tournament continues, and children can participate in the Decorate Your Cookie workshop hosted by Pastry Moon, followed by a snack. In the evening, after the tournament awards ceremony, an aperitif with live music accompanies dinner, concluding the day with a DJ set featuring 90s and 2000s hits.

The charitable goal

The core of the event remains solidarity: all proceeds from the day are donated to support people with disabilities through the Amici del Paolin Association. The Preore festival is part of a wider calendar of charitable initiatives that the association promotes throughout the year in the Giudicarie region.

More than just Preore: solidarity doubles

The Preore event is often accompanied over the weekend by A Walk for Life, a charity walk starting from Strembo, organized by the Pro Loco of Strembo, Bocenago, and Caderzone Terme, also in support of the association. These two events highlight how the Giudicarie community comes together for a shared cause.
