Wine meets the porticoes of Egna

Wein & Lauben / Wine and Porticoes is the wine event that brings the historic center of Egna/Neumarkt to life every summer in the Bassa Atesina, in the province of Bolzano (Trentino-South Tyrol). The event takes place under the famous medieval porticoes (the Lauben) that define the village, officially recognized as one of the most beautiful in Italy: for one night, the main street transforms into an open-air tasting trail, complete with producer stalls, convivial tables, and soft lighting.

History and concept

The festival was founded in 2011 by Vincenzo Degasperi, owner of the local wine bar and restaurant, and Paolo Ianna, an expert taster and wine guide curator. From the very first editions, the formula has won over both the public and industry professionals: a selection of winemakers from South Tyrol and other Italian regions are invited to present their wines directly to the public in an informal yet high-quality setting.

Every year, the event attracts enthusiasts from across the province of Bolzano and the neighboring Trentino region.
