About AbitiAmo la Terra

For six days, Piossasco is painted in the colors and rhythms of Brazil with AbitiAmo la Terra, the Brazilian Solidarity Festival organized by the Amici di Joaquim Gomes ODV ETS Association. Under the marquee in Piazza Primo Levi, the event features concerts, Brazilian dinners, conferences, children's workshops, peace marches, and DJ sets: every euro raised supports development projects in northeastern Brazil and Kenya. An event that attracts over 3,000 people every year to the heart of the province of Turin.

A solidarity festival in the heart of Piossasco

Every year in mid-June, the marquee in Piazza Primo Levi in Piossasco, in the province of Turin, transforms into a corner of Brazil. AbitiAmo la Terra – Brazilian Solidarity Festival is much more than just a gastronomic and musical event: it is the flagship appointment of the Amici di Joaquim Gomes ODV ETS Association, which for over twenty years has linked Piedmont to the most impoverished communities in northeastern Brazil and Kenya. In fact, all proceeds from the festival are donated to training, food support, and community development projects in those regions.

Six days of music, food, and meetings

The program spans nearly a week, intertwining social moments with civic reflection. Under the large tent—which ensures the festival goes ahead even in case of rain—there is a succession of live concerts, Brazilian funk DJ sets, aperitifs to the rhythm of forró, conferences on social justice and environmental protection, direct testimonies from volunteers, and workshops dedicated to children.

  • Concerts and live music: from the Hope Choir to dance evenings with the rhythms of Brazil.
  • Brazilian dinners and cuisine: the grand Brazilian Solidarity Dinner and the Noite Brasileira with a barbecue are the most anticipated moments.
  • March for Peace and the Earth: a symbolic procession that crosses Piossasco.
  • Conferences and testimonies with speakers and guests from Brazil and Kenya.
  • Children's workshops and a clothing and book Swap Party focused on reuse.

An ethical and eco-sustainable event

AbitiAmo la Terra is designed as an environmentally conscious event: biodegradable tableware, reusable cups, and management that reflects the sustainability values promoted by the association. Everything is driven by a volunteer machine made up of about fifty members and dozens of volunteers, who welcome over 3,000 visitors every year.

Why it's worth attending

Participating in the festival means savoring Brazilian cuisine, letting yourself be carried away by the music, and at the same time, contributing concretely to a charitable cause. It is an experience that tells the story of how a small community in the province of Turin can build bridges with the other side of the world, amidst civic engagement and contagious joy.

AbitiAmo la Terra — edition 2026

The 25th edition of AbitiAmo la Terra celebrates a quarter-century of solidarity in Piossasco. From June 16 to 21, 2026, under the marquee in Piazza Primo Levi, six days of concerts, Brazilian dinners, conferences, peace marches, and children's workshops, with all proceeds going to development projects in Brazil and Kenya.

For its 25th anniversary, the Brazilian Solidarity Festival returns to Piossasco with a rich and structured program, dedicated to music, cuisine, and civic engagement.
