MusicaRiva Festival among the pile dwellings of the Parco Archeo Natura
In the summer of 2026, the MusicaRiva Festival leaves the shores of Lake Garda to reach the Trentino plateau and the Parco Archeo Natura in Fiavè, in the municipality of Fiavè (Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige). Here, on the evening of July 31, 2026, the "Vuelta al mundo" concert will take place, one of the most evocative stops of the itinerant festival that, in its second part, visits villages, museums, and historical sites across the region.
The title says it all: a trip around the world through music, crossing continents and genres seamlessly. The program ranges from the tango of Astor Piazzolla to jazz atmospheres, from the melodies of George Gershwin to the famous soundtracks of Nicola Piovani and Luis Bacalov, as well as pieces by Pedro Iturralde, Consuelo Velázquez, Kurt Weill, and Harold Arlen.
The Parco Archeo Natura is built around the ancient pile-dwelling village of Fiavè, one of the most important Bronze Age settlements in the Alps, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list of "Prehistoric Pile Dwellings around the Alps." Listening to music in this setting—among the reconstructions of stilt houses and the peat bog that preserved 3,500-year-old artifacts—transforms the concert into an experience that blends archaeology, nature, and art.
Before the concert, at 8:00 PM, a guided tour of the archaeological park is scheduled to discover the life of the prehistoric pile-dwelling village. The concert is also part of the "Archeologia Estate" program promoted by the Superintendency for Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
Reaching its 42nd edition in 2026, the MusicaRiva Festival is one of the longest-running summer music festivals in Trentino: from July 18 to August 1, 2026, it offers 27 concerts in 15 days, with over 300 artists in about twenty different locations between Upper Garda and Lower Trentino. The Fiavè concert is one of the free-admission events, designed to bring high-quality music to the general public in extraordinary local settings.
