Two days of nature, flavors, and tradition in the park of Villa Poggio
Vivere in Campagna is one of the most beloved events on the calendar in Terruggia, a small town in the Province of Alessandria, in the Casale Monferrato area. For over thirty years, the fair has drawn visitors, exhibitors, and curious onlookers to the lush park of Villa Poggio, all seeking an authentic taste of Piedmontese rural life. The 2026 edition, the 31st, took place on Saturday, June 6th, and Sunday, June 7th, confirming a formula that focuses on nature, local flavors, and well-being.
The heart of the event is the large floral and nursery market, accompanied by stalls featuring crafts and food and wine products. Along the park's paths, you can discover plants, flowers, gardening supplies, and local gastronomic specialties, in a journey that tells the story of the deep bond between Monferrato and its land.
Vivere in Campagna is more than just a commercial fair: it is a weekend of experiences. The program offers outdoor yoga, Pilates, Reiki, and Qi Gong classes, creative workshops for children, cultural meetings, and photography exhibitions. There is no shortage of excursions and visits to the infernot, the ancient cellars carved into the 'Pietra da Cantoni' (Cantoni Stone) that characterize the Langhe-Roero-Monferrato wine landscape, a recognized World Heritage site.
Among the event's unique features is the presence of products directly from the Burgundy region in France: baguettes, cheeses, and wines that testify to the twinning and friendship between Monferrato and the transalpine region, in a dialogue between two great wine-producing lands.
The park of Villa Poggio offers the ideal setting to spend the day: open spaces for picnics, relaxation amidst the greenery, and activities designed for families. It is this relaxed and convivial atmosphere, combined with the quality of the products and the richness of the program, that makes Vivere in Campagna a reference point for the Monferrato territory.
The 2026 edition of Vivere in Campagna confirmed the event's well-established formula, with a weekend described by the organizers as "filled with workshops, wine tastings, flowers, wellness, and picnics in the greenery." In the park of Villa Poggio, stalls featuring floriculture, crafts, and food and wine alternated, in a journey designed for families and enthusiasts.
The 31st edition was organized by the Pro Loco of Terruggia with the support of the Municipality.
