The vinyl record and music collectibles fair at Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa
Vinyl Expo is the fair that transforms the Spazio NOZ – Nuove Officine Zisa at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa (Via Paolo Gili 4, Palermo) into a major meeting point for vinyl lovers and music collectors every spring. The event is part of the international Record Store Day circuit, a global celebration established in the United States in 2007 to honor independent record stores and analog music culture.
For several days, the Zisa spaces host exhibitors from across Italy, offering a vast selection ranging from rock to jazz, rap to soul, and electronic to classical music. Visitors can purchase rare vinyl, first pressings, reissues, and new releases, as well as sell, trade, or have their own records appraised. It is the perfect opportunity for those hunting for that elusive piece or looking to complete their collection.
Beyond the fair itself, Vinyl Expo offers entertainment with DJ sets, curated music selections, and headphone listening stations where you can test records before buying. There is also the Zero Market, a vintage market featuring collectibles and retro items, plus a food area with activities designed for children, making the event suitable for the whole family.
Set in one of the most evocative cultural landmarks in Palermo—the former industrial complex of Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa—Vinyl Expo has become a highly anticipated date in the Sicilian capital's spring calendar. As organizer Luca Tumminia notes, "vinyl is not just a music format, but an emotional experience": an idea that perfectly captures the spirit of an event that unites expert collectors, young enthusiasts, and casual music fans alike.
Access to the event is free, with parking available inside the Cantieri Culturali grounds in the Zisa district of Palermo, Sicily.
