Classic cars and motorcycles in the Po Valley, Paesana
The Vintage Vehicle Rally is the event that brings dozens of classic cars and motorcycles to Paesana, in the heart of the upper Po Valley in the province of Cuneo, every spring. The vecchiette (little old ladies), as these vintage vehicles are affectionately called, parade and gather in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, turning the town center into an open-air museum for historic motor enthusiasts.
The event's format combines a passion for historic vehicles with the discovery of the local area. After the morning meeting and registration, participants head out on a scenic tour along the panoramic roads of the Po Valley, at the foot of Monviso, with a gourmet stop for an aperitif hosted by a local cheese shop. The return to Paesana is followed by a convivial lunch and, in the afternoon, a prize raffle for participants.
Organized by the Le Vecchiette Paesana group, the rally has grown with each edition to become a staple of the community's spring calendar. The event blends the culture of historic motoring with the promotion of the upper Po Valley landscape and local gastronomic excellence, all in a friendly atmosphere of shared passion.
Nestled on the lower slopes of Monviso, Paesana is one of the gateways to the Po Valley, in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of Piedmont. A village with alpine traditions and a natural stop for those heading toward the source of the Po, Paesana offers rally participants a picturesque setting, surrounded by mountains, valleys, and the typical products of the Cuneo area.
