Campanian street food and culinary excellence at Villa Favorita, Ercolano
The Vesuvio Food Fest is a food and wine event held in Ercolano, in the Province of Naples, in the heart of Campania. For three consecutive evenings, the festival transforms the seaside park into a grand culinary journey, where high-quality street food meets the excellence of the Vesuvius territory. The goal is to showcase, through food, the identity of a land that unites Mount Vesuvius, the Gulf of Naples, and the authentic Neapolitan culinary tradition.
The chosen venue is the Parco sul Mare della Villa Favorita, located along the famous Miglio d'Oro, the historic road lined with 18th-century Vesuvius villas. Right in front of Villa Favorita, one of Ercolano's most evocative buildings, visitors can stroll among the stalls with a view of the gulf, in a setting that blends historical heritage, landscape, and fine dining.
The festival offers a rich tasting trail featuring typical products from Campania:
Beyond the gastronomy, each evening is accompanied by live music and entertainment that keeps the park lively until late. The cooking shows allow the public to get a close look at the work of chefs and master pizzaiolos, while the tasting stalls tell the stories of Vesuvius food producers and artisans.
The Vesuvio Food Fest is promoted with the support of the Municipality of Ercolano and the collaboration of local entities such as the Vesuvius National Park and local food producers. With free admission and its location just steps from the Ercolano excavations, the event is designed for both residents and tourists visiting the Vesuvius area, and has quickly established itself as one of the most popular summer food festivals in the Naples region.
From June 27 to 29, 2026, the Parco sul Mare della Villa Favorita in Ercolano hosted the latest edition of the Vesuvio Food Fest, three evenings dedicated to the flavors and culinary excellence of Campania. In the heart of the Miglio d'Oro, the public enjoyed gourmet and fried pizzas, Neapolitan cuisine specialties, Vesuvius wines, oils, cheeses, and artisanal desserts. The evenings, with free admission, were enlivened by cooking shows with chefs and pizzaiolos and live music, confirming the event as one of the most anticipated food festivals in the Vesuvius area.
