Vele d'Epoca di Imperia is one of the most prestigious sailing events in the Mediterranean, dedicated to vintage and classic yachts. Founded in 1986, it takes place in the waters of the Gulf of Imperia, in Liguria, and each edition attracts historic hulls from all over Europe, jewels of seamanship with unmistakable lines.

A gathering of elegance and sport

Seeing these boats - some built over a century ago - racing again is a spectacle that combines the sporting dimension with the aesthetic and cultural one. The quays of Calata Anselmi, in the port of Oneglia, become an open-air floating museum, where you can admire the woodwork, brass, and sails of yesteryear up close, while the races take place at sea.

The 40th anniversary and the 12 Metres

The 2026 edition is special: it celebrates the 40th anniversary of the event and hosts the World Championship of the 12 Metre International Rule class, the legendary class linked to the history of the America's Cup. A double event that brings some of the most iconic hulls in world sailing back to the Ligurian gulf.
